Our High School program is dedicated to empowering students to unlock their highest academic potential while fostering qualities such as grit, curiosity, persistence, and, above all, a growth mindset. "The Calverton School has excellent academics in lower, middle, and upper school. Small classes give the community a family feel. The Upper School is top notch, has a rigorous IB program without being a pressure cooker environment, and a great college counseling office."
- Parent
Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions you'll make for your child. At Calverton, students are known, challenged, and supported every step of the way. We invite you to experience our campus, meet our teachers, and discover what makes our community so special.
Why Calverton?
Fostering a culture of respect, high expectations, and shared experiences, Calverton instills in students intellectual curiosity, personal responsibility, and a strong work ethic to prepare them for higher education and responsible citizenship in a democratic and global community.
Signature Experiences
Our 6th and 7th graders have the opportunity to engage in a fall camping trip, explore the environment and participate in team-building activities. 8th graders spend three days experiencing life in Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown, participating in role-playing situations and touring the sites.
The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable, and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Students in 11th and 12th grade can take two-year IB courses and may test in May of their senior year for IB credit and possible college credit, similar to AP Exams.
